Cover and Layout of the Book ABCCR - The History

Goals:Our challenge was to create the cover and layout of the ABCCR book, which chronicles the remarkable evolution of ophthalmology over three decades and highlights Brazil's crucial role in this journey. The book intended to celebrate this unique trajectory, highlighting the contributions of several presidents and personalities of ABCCR and ophthalmology as a whole.

Contributions: As a graphic designer, my task was to bring this exceptional narrative to life through the cover and core of the book. For the cover, we opted for a high standard concept, incorporating images of the various presidents and illustrious figures from ABCCR and ophthalmology. We have integrated parts of the ABCCR logo to emphasize the origin and authenticity of the content. This approach ensured that the cover was visually striking and conveyed the book's historical importance.

Creative Solution:The book's cover became a collage of notable figures, reinforcing the idea of a historical journey. The images of presidents and personalities have been skillfully arranged to create an imposing visual impact. The inclusion of the ABCCR logo strengthened the work's association with the entity, giving credibility to the content. At the heart of the book, we focus on rescuing and restoring old photos, keeping them within a realistic context. The typography used was chosen with legibility in mind, ensuring that readers could absorb the content with ease. The layout was kept simple and direct, with the aim of keeping the content as the central element of the narrative.

Results:The ABCCR book now has a stunning cover that instantly captivates readers and conveys the rich history of Brazilian ophthalmology. The core of the book successfully rescued old photos, preserving ABCCR's legacy in an authentic way. The carefully chosen typography and layout ensured that the content was accessible and easy to read, allowing the history of ophthalmology in Brazil to be appreciated by everyone who reads it. This project celebrates a remarkable 30-year journey and marks a high point in documenting the evolution of Brazilian ophthalmology.
